CAMPUS SAFETY
(CBC)
Halifax university students have been made aware of some serious safety concerns for those living both on campus and off. Students living in the south end have been warned about the unidentified sleep watcher, who has been targeting women. The Halifax Regional Police (HRP) department has a sleep watcher file, with approximately 30 incidents reported since 2004. To add to the growing concern, just a few months ago the Dalhousie campus security circulated a notice for students to stay alert when walking alone, after a female student was mugged on the campus.
