Obama inauguration events in Halifax
Several events are happening around Halifax to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States.

-> The Dalhousie Black Students Advising Centre is hosting a discussion with Dalhousie staff, students and community members celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and the inauguration of Barack Obama.

-> The Dalhousie Student Union and the Dalhousie Political Science Society are hosting an Obama Inauguration Party at Dalhousie’s campus bar, the Grawood.

-> Both NSCC and MSVU will be showing the inauguration live on big screen TVs in their respective cafeterias.
-> Most Halifax sports bars will be showing the inauguration on TV.
-> SMU will be projecting the event on a big screen live in the Sobey Theatre from 10:00am - 5:00pm. The public is welcome to attend.
