St. Francis Xavier University men's basketball coach Steve Konchalski broke the all-time coaching wins record on Nov. 6. The St. Francis Xavier X-Men beat the University of Prince Edward Island 94-83 in the historic game.

The X-men went on to beat the University of New Brunswick 82-66 on Nov. 7, bringing Coach Konchalski two games ahead of the previous record-holder Jerry Hemmings by the end of the weekend.

A ceremony to honour Konchalski's record is planned for the X-Men's next home game on Nov. 27.
