Video: Players weigh in on new SMU coach

Interviews began this week for two of the five candidates chosen among the original 16 vying for their spot as head coach of the Saint Mary's University football team. Five players spoke out Wednesday night about what they want to see in their next coach.

The Chronicle Herald's Monty Mosher rekindled coaching rumours on Wednesday by naming the five men still standing for the job. SMU athletic director Steve Sarty says the next Huskies' musher will need strong leadership, discipline, and a tradition of excellence. Though this may seem to be your standard job description, matching SMU football's tradition of excellence isn't. The Huskies had a winning reputation with former chef de mission, Steve Sumarah. He led the team to four consecutive AUS titles and the Vanier Cup in 2007. But after missing out on the Atlantic title last season, Sarty and Sumarah split. Regardless of who the committee picks, nor candidates' abilities to work with Sarty; we find out what players want?
