SMU athletic director Steve Sarty says the next Huskies' musher will need strong leadership, discipline, and a tradition of excellence. Though this may seem to be your standard job description, matching SMU football's tradition of excellence isn't. The Huskies had a winning reputation with former chef de mission, Steve Sumarah. He led the team to four consecutive AUS titles and the Vanier Cup in 2007. But after missing out on the Atlantic title last season, Sarty and Sumarah split.
