Halifax police will determine today if there has been any criminal wrongdoing in posts to the DDS Gentleman’s Facebook group. Police are asking female students who were the target of the misogynistic posts to come forward.

According to The Chronicle Herald, Const. Pierre Bourdages says police have yet to hear of any complaints from the women involved. He says there will not be a police investigation without information that anything criminal has happened.

Initially, the university rejected having the police involved with the investigation for privacy reasons. A university spokesperson says that was a misunderstanding and now Dalhousie will co-operate with police.

Police will meet with the female students privately today and will not release their names.
