Halifax students commemorate fallen

Remembrance Day ceremony held at Halifax's Grand Parade

A crowd of thousands gathered for the Remembrance Day ceremony at Halifax’s Grand Parade today. Among the attendees were veterans, politicians, servicemen and women and families. Wreaths were laid on the war memorial by representatives of the community, including ones from Dalhousie and King’s College.

As Halifax remembered the fallen and paid tribute to sacrifices past and present we asked students “Why are you here today?”

Their answers:

Did you attend a Remembrance Day ceremony? Tell us why it was important to you.
