Police are still looking for the two suspects who robbed a Dalhousie student Saturday night.

The victim was walking near South Street and Seymour Street when two armed males approached her and demanded her purse.

Halifax Regional Police spokesman Constable Pierre Bourdages urges, “the victim cannot blame herself.”
He says they get calls about robberies often, and that they’re keeping their eyes open for the two suspects.

Both suspects were about five-foot-five, wearing ski masks and all-black clothing. One had a wrench in his hand, and the other a small knife.

The men took the woman’s purse and and ran towards LeMarchant Street, according to a Dalhousie security bulletin.

Police came, but the suspects were not found. The woman was not physically injured.

Dalhousie’s Director of Security Mike Burns says students should try to travel in groups and report any suspicious behaviour to police.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
