Two Dal students sexually assaulted

Two Dalhousie University students were assaulted early Sunday morning as they walked south on Queen Street, between Spring Garden Road and Morris Street.

According to a campus security bulletin released Thursday, a lone male sexually assaulted one of the female students at about 4 a.m. on Feb. 6.

When they started yelling, the man threatened them with a metal pipe he was carrying. The two women then fled the scene without further incident.

The assailant is described as a white male, roughly 26 years old, wearing a black toque, black jacket and blue jeans at the time of the incident. He is said to be about six feet tall and roughly 170 lbs.

Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or have any information are being asked to contact Halifax Regional Police (490-5020), Dalhousie Security (494-6400), or Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477) and refer Case File 10-19085.
