Video: Occupy protestors rally the morning after Victoria Park eviction

The Occupy Nova Scotia movement and its supporters marched from St. Andrew’s Church to Grand Parade Square on Saturday morning to protest their eviction from Halifax's Victoria Park.

More than 300 people rallied in the square, including representatives from local unions and organizations such as the Voice of Women and the Council of Canadians. There were multiple speakers throughout the rally. The crowd continually shamed police officers for their handling of the eviction and called for Mayor Peter Kelly’s resignation.

Three of the movement’s key activists who were both arrested and released on Friday were charged again at the rally. A smaller group marched to police headquarters after the rally in support of those arrested.

The activists were released the following morning.
