The University of New Brunswick and its faculty association have reached a tentative agreement, the university announced today. This could mean an end to the strike and lockout.

The agreement, “on key issues related to wages,” follows wage demands the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers presented to the school earlier this month.

The association withdrew its services on Jan. 13. and students have been out of class for almost four weeks.

The announcement states the two parties will release further details of the agreement in the next 24 hours.
